Skin Tightening

 

It is a widely known fact of cosmetic life that effective methods of reversing skin sag are hard to come by. While sagging can be prevented or at least slowed down with proper care (such as topical DMAE, collagen/elastin synthesis activators, etc), once significant sag has occurred, the only consistently and markedly effective way to reverse it is cosmetic surgery. The problem is that surgery is costly, requires 2-4 weeks of downtime, and carries all the typical risks of an invasive procedure. In that context, it is not surprising that a new non invasive approach of skin tightening using non ablative(non stripping) radio frequency devices is generating both legitimate interest and genuine hype.

 

How radio frequency works to reduce sag.

 

Our rejuvenation methods, employing radio frequency, are based on radio waves of certain frequency to penetrate and be absorbed by body tissues. The absorption of radio waves cause tissue heating as well as some structural molecular changes.

 

The radio frequency treatment is delivered by placing an electrode onto the skin and applying low alternating current of the required frequency. As a result, the skin is deep-treated with controlled doses of targeted radio waves. At the same time the skin surface layer, consisting of the epidermis and upper dermis, may be cooled by a cryogenic spray or gel for comfort. This pain free treatment produces localized heat injury of the dermis and sub dermal layer as well as collagen contraction leading to skin tightening. The subsequent healing of the microscopic dermal and sub dermal lesions causes further skin tightening and also reduces the depth of wrinkles. Notably, since the skin surface is preserved, the downtime after the procedure is non existent.

 

What is Radio Frequency Face Lifting and Rejuvenation?

 

3DSlimtech’s radio frequency (RF) face lifting and rejuvenation treatment uses low frequency radio waves to heat the skin and underlying tissues in a controlled manner without inflicting any damage to the epidermis. The RF device can perform fat sculpting (facial fat reduction) on the jowl, cheeks and under the chin, in addition to lifting, tightening and anti-aging, for a powerful face and body remodelling effect without the scars, hardened tissue, downtime and complications associated with other, more invasive procedures. The waves can be delivered via mono-polar mode, which treats an area larger than the size of the treatment head and penetrates about 20–30 millimetres. Alternatively, bipolar mode applies emitting and receiving electrodes to the skin, so the effect is limited to this small area. It penetrates less than the mono-polar.

 

Are there any contraindications?

• Wearing a cardiac pacemaker (the RF can interfere with the mechanism).

• Any metal close to the skin surface (for example, pins and plates in the zygomatic arch).

• Connective tissue/muscle disorders.

• Bacterial infection or any skin disease.

• Pregnancy.

• Any injectable's or fillers within 72 hours.

 

How many treatments are recommended?

 

To gain maximum benefit we usually recommend that this procedure be repeated twice a week for a series of four to six weeks initially. More treatments can then be scheduled every month or so to maintain the result .
